Hello,
I try to model a simple beam using "Fiber section" with circular shape. There is a posiblity of defining a material as either "nd" or "uniaxal". If I define the fiber section using "uniaxial material", the material command under the command "Fiber section" is "activated", otherwise "inactive". At this time, I get a warning error as "physical property must be: 'materials.nd' and not: 'materials.uniaxial'.
What must I do in order to activate the material button under the command "Fiber section" for nD material?

Re: Circular Fiber Usage
Hi, you can only assign uniaxial material to fiber sections, so define a uniaxial material before defining the fiber section, the uniaxial material can be populated in the fiber section window. Please read the OpenSees documentation, as seen in the attached figure.

Dear Kesavapraba,
Yes you are certainly right. In fact, I am agree with you. But, as I see it you in the perevios message, I get an warning error when I define the fiber section using the property of "uniaxial material" (see Lesson5_4_ASDEAEmbedeNodeElement_deneme1_error_FiberUsing2.jpg).
I hope to convey it you.

Re: Circular Fiber Usage
Hi, This error should be for solid but not from fiber. because I don't see any nD material created in physical properties for solid element.
