embedded column

Post by polatd » Tue Mar 12, 2024 3:43 pm

Hi,

I am trying to model embedded column.
When I change the zxx (zero length material) rotational stiffness values that I have defined with elastic material (elastickconn), There is no change in the force displacement grap.

I have doubts about whether I can model correctly. I would be happy if you help me in this subject.

I tried to get help from here but I guess I couldn't do it::

Hi, It is not very clear to understand your problem. However, I took a look at your model, the material properties of the p-y, t-z, and Q-z nonlinear springs are not defined. Also, the boundary conditions make the pile system not movable at the spring connection points. There are other inconsistencies in analysis settings also. I would suggest to read and double check with the TCL script that you provided for proper boundary conditions and material properties. Thank you.
