Convergence Problem

Post by MusZip » Mon Nov 25, 2024 10:31 am

Hello,

I try to run a simple cantilever beam with IPE 100. I utilize "uniaxial biliniear" material. The magnitude of load is in the elastic limit. Thus, in fact, it is not expected a plastic behaviour. But, alhough I have several attempts of using the different integrator appoaches, load, displacement, arc-length and etc., I can not achieve to catch the correct displacement values.

What must I do?

  • In Bilin material the negative moment must be a negative value (use the tester to see if your material works)
  • Why are you using the same stress-strain material used in the fiber section as a torsional material? A torsional material should be a torque-versus-torsional_deformation
  • You are missing a time series in the load pattern
