Dear Team,
I am trying to perform a pushover analysis of RC frame with distributed plasticity. The Frame shows no error in the case of gravity analysis. However, when subjected to lateral loading, an error occurs as shown in the attached file. I have attached the scd file also.
Kindly help me in this regard.

Re: Analysis Error
Dear Zeeshanbhat,
I opened your model and noticed you defined your geometries in what looks to be cm but you sections in mm, I didn't go into material properties and loads.
This can be spotted easily in STKO just by clicking on the Property tab in the Pre-Processor and check the consistency of your assignments in the Render View. Remember OpenSees does not have the concept of unit system, you need to be consistent with your units throughout the whole modelling process.
By simply scaling the model to mm and running the analysis as you set it, I did not encounter futher problems. You can also change your sections from mm to cm, depending on how you defined material properties and load too, just all needs to be in the same units.
Hope this helps.
Francesca
