Includes different mass to a element

Post by shelby.paz » Wed May 27, 2020 6:26 pm

Hi, is it possible to work with differents mass in one element? this one to simulate the mass of the wall in a column of timber for example?

in the graph, I have nodes, where I need to put different mass :

How I can put if I have the material and section of the timber, and also I work with the interaction between the beam and columns...
thanks

Dear User,
it is possible to work with different mass on the same element, STKO sums them.
But if you want to do an increment step analysis you need to use loads instead of masses.
I'm sorry but we didn't understand the second question.
If you meant to add material, section and interaction on the same element, it's possible. You can, for example, add material and section on the element and use interaction on nodes.
If you meant something else, please let us know.
Have a nice day.
