with -3 error flag but analysis finished

Post by Lei Lei » Mon Jul 01, 2024 5:35 am

Dear STKO team,

I came across something extraordinary. I used openseesmp but did not define parrel in analysis, and the results showed an error but the calculation was complete, although the results were strange. But when I use the parrel definition in analysis, it doesn't work. Can you help me explain this peculiar phenomenon?

Looking forward to your reply!

Your issue is not entirely clear to me. However, please note that when I run your model on my side without partitioning after the build mesh step (with OpenSeesMP), the interpreter thows error. In the second case, you should expect errors in the analysis because you do not use parallel numberers, system, and solvers. Hence, after the meshing process, you can do partitioning and then use OpenSeesMP interpreter. And, please ensure that you use parallel numberer and system (MUMPS) etc in the analysis settings.
