New element/material in STKO

Dear sir,
For example if I have added a new material to my OpenSees (local compilation) - how can I access that through STKO ?
Is there a way to assign it ? The same question also pertains to new elements. Is there a way to visualize them and mesh them ?
As I know currently the method is - ask STKO to write the input script and add our commands directly to the input scripts.
Is there any other way ?
