I add the shell element to my model, then the error comes when I run it. What does it mean?

That error says that the element module (ShellMITC4, i.e. the finite element formulation you are using) requires a quad mesh (4 nodes) while you meshed the surface with triangles (3 nodes).
If you want to use the ShellMITC4, you need to do a quad mesh.
By default the mesh is unstructured and triangular, you can make it quadrilateral in the mesh controls dialog:
