Non-convergence problem during analysis
I tried to model a shear plate and I got the following convergence error. Did I use wrong parameters? I modified the shear wall from the tutorial on youtube for this purpose.

Re: Urgent: Analysis of plate structures
I managed to resolve this error. I changed the Gc value from 3 to 10.

Re: Urgent: Analysis of plate structures
I tried modelling the shear wall as shown in the video. I followed the exact same steps and I got this error (attached file). How do I resolve this? Additionaly I had to also change the divisions by size as max number of nodes was reached.
Do I need to download a different solver?
Thank you.

Re: Urgent: Analysis of plate structures
Ok I will take a look at the shear wall example.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Urgent: Analysis of plate structures
I am sorry for my wording in my post, I will try to be more specific. I made a model of a plate structure where all the edges, vetices are fixed and there was a point load of 200kn from top at the middle point. I have attached the link to the file below. When running the analysis I was getting a ...

Urgent: Analysis of plate structures
Can someone help me analyse a simple plate structure with point load on top and normal boundary conditions. I need this urgently, I have tried to take the shear wall video as a reference but I am unable to do it. Can someone help me urgently. I am new to this software and having a hard time learning ...

Re: How to approach this?
This question is quite generic. What kind of plate structures? how to model reinforcement? thick vs thin? FE formulations for plate bending? geometric nonlinearities? membrane effects? punching shear failure? etc... etc...
for now I have to do monotonic analysis on thin concrete plate, with ...

How to approach this?
Hello guys,
I have a project to do named "Numerical Analysis of plate structures (software based)". How do I approach this? What thngs do I have to take care of? I have some basic idea of how the STKO software works.
Thank You
