Timber beam

Hello!
I want to simulate a timber beam simply-supported with a square section.
So I use an elastic orthotropic material, but I can't use a fiber section(because it doesn't read the material type).
I select a SPPbrick as element properties..
Someone can give me suggestions? Both for physical properties and the type of analysis.
Thank you in advice!

Fiber sections are for frame modeling. In a frame model, the material is assumed to be uniaxial, so orthotropy is not considered.

If instead you need to consider orthotropy, you need a 3D model. This is a 3D element, but you need to also build a 3D model of you beam
