Dear STKO Team,

Hello!

I encountered an error while trying to create a CatenaryCable element between two nodes. I have checked that all the elements involved are 3D, but I’m still getting this error and I’m not sure where the issue lies. Could you please help me resolve this problem?

Additionally, could you kindly explain the correct procedure for using the CatenaryCable element in STKO?

That error is saying that node 17 is shared by 2 objects (typically Element Properties), one needs 3 DOFs and another needs 6 DOFs. And this creates an incompatibility. What elements are you using?

One uses elasticBeamColumn, and the other uses CatenaryCable.

That's why. The beam is 6 DOFs, the cable 3 DOFs.
You have to split the geometry in 2 geometries, 1 for the beam and 1 for the cable, and use an interaction with EqualDOF in the 3 translational DOFs to connect them
