Hello,

I try to simulate a simple bar and concrete model in way of considering the well known "03_beam_solid_bar_slip.scd" model zipped in "webinar_october_interactions".

Due to being utilized a demonstraion version of STKO, I have to keep the number of elements in a certain one. Altough I try to run my model with a decreased element numbers, I can not achieve neither to correctly mesh of my model nor to execute the analysis of my model (see attached "*.scd" model).

Which step do I skip?

Best wishes

Hi, You have to use a full licensed version of STKO to avail all the features it offers. I would also suggest you to a look at DesignSafe website https://designsafe-ci.org, you can also watch some details in the video link below.

Dear kesavapraba,

Thanks for your both suggestion and advice for the link.

You are certainly right for the use of licensed version of STKO. However, I do not know whether to be considered my simple example by you or not? This simple example is modelled using only limited elements in order to be solved using the demo STKO. According to the explanations offered in this official web page of STKO, the demo version is also capable of generating all features of full version of STKO. But, again, I have not a further information.

Hi, You are welcome. Yes. demo version offers full features, you can model the structure. But, when it comes to meshing and analysis, it has certain limitations with respect to number of elements and nodes etc! You will get a warning message when the total number of element in your model exceeds that limitation.
