Dear STKO team,
I am attaching a model of a concrete structure that is made of two walls at a certain distance from one another.
The two walls are connected with some rebars that can be idealised with an interaction to which we can assign either equal dofs for horizontal displacements or as rigid bars.
In both cases, the system does not converge. However, if I remove such a constraint, the model runs.
Can you please help?
Best wishes,
Raffaele

Re: Constraints between two walls
Hi, the penalty factor 14 seems to high, it makes the system matrix ill-conditioned. So, I reduce it to 10, the model runs smoothly. Actually, I recommend a penalty factor, which is 5 order higher than the order of average stiffness value of the system. Please do it on your side and let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you.
