How to model self-centering bridge pier with unbonded prestressed tendons.
In the attached skto model file, I try to model a bridge pier with two unbonded prestressed tendons. I have successfully created the model without prestress. Now, the problem is how to apply prestress on those two unbonded tendons. Help me please. Thank you very much.
Best wishes

The reference load is too small as an initial guess for the displacement control.
First, you use an adaptive time step to allow OpenSees to reduce the time step in order to get a better convergence.
Then, the horizontal load should be close (at least in terms of order of magnitude) to the expected value.
Why? Because in Displacement-Control, the (Lambda) load-multiplier is an unknown.
If your reference load is 1 (and you are modelling in N) it will be very far from the solution.
Try to increase your reference load by 10000.
