Lysmer-Kuhlemeyer Dashpots

Hi,

In the supporting excel file of webinar-8, to compute the Lysmer-Kuhlemeyer Dashpot's damping coefficients, these formulae are used:

C_v= element_size * density_of_soil*P_wave_velocity_of_soil
and
C_h=element_size * density_of_soil*S_wave_velocity_of_soil

Can you please share any reference, where we can see the derivation of these formulae?
