I'm very new to STKO and opensees. In a general way can you please guide me on how to use an eigenvalue analysis to apply initial imperfections to a shell model?

it is possible to do what you are asking. Do you want to apply an imperfection proportional to the eigenvectors or just a random one?

I'd like to apply a initial imperfection proportional to a eigenvector.
I presume that it could be possible to apply this as an initial condition of the system.

Dear Joao,
yes it is possible to do that. You can run an eigenvalue analysis in STKO, then save the eigenvector results with the related indices of the nodes and input them as imposed displacements once again in your initial model, as initial imperfections, in the proportion that you prefer.
If you tell on which kind of model you want to perform this I can help you set up a procedure to do it. First, we would need a working model, with correct mass assignments and running eigenvalue analysis.
