Edgar translation: “Hello, good afternoon from Peru.
I need to ask about the type of interaction I should use for the interaction (using micromodeling) of a concrete frame and a masonry partition. Because for these cases the interaction is carried out mainly in the joints (which is why trusses are used) and there is separation between sections of columns and beams, but I am doing research with micro modeling. My last query for this type of model is: is it necessary to configure the column and the beam with properties in two dimensions (planestress)?
Thanks and regards,
Edgar Quispe
P.S. I have attached an outline of what I am trying to do”

You can use plane stress elements (If the analysis is in-plane) and the damage material model (TC3D) to micro model the infills (see video https://youtu.be/Awegt1Jg0ek).

Then you have two options:

1. RC columns and beams can be modeled with plane stress element and the rebars with 1D elements. You can insert a mortar layer between the infills and the concrete frame and calibrate the material to model correctly the contact.

2. Another options is to use 1D elements with fiber sections to model the reinforced concrete elements and connect the infills and the frame with kinematic constraints

Some useful videos can be found in the website training page (https://asdeasoft.net/?stko-training):

Hi again,

please, I started to modeled a simple model and I ask you, How do I can connect the infill and the frame with kinematics constraints?

Thanks.

P.D. I need to calculate the stresses near the nodes
