Error using MPCO

Post by gooddaytogo » Sun Jun 14, 2020 2:46 am

Hi, there,

I have just installed STKO and tried to do the pushover with the MPCO command. And the OpenSEES I used is Version 3.2.0 64-Bit.

At first, it showed the info in Fig. 1 to let me install the HDF5, so HDF 1.12.0 was installed.

Then I run it again, the outcome in Fig. 2 was got, so could you tell me how to make it right? Thanks.

P.S.: I just install the STKO, and then run the OpenSEES in another directory, don't know if it will affect the analysis.

Dear user, of course OpenSees needs to be downloaded and installed on your PC, since it is not distributed by ASDEA Software along with STKO.

At the following link you can find a detailed description about how to install OpenSees on your PC:
https://asdeasoft.net/?stko-trial

It looks like you downloaded the precompiled OpenSees.exe 3.2.0 from the official website. In that case you need to install the HDF5 libraries (version 1.10.1, not 1.12.0). Since you have STKO already installed you can do this:
  • Uninstall HDF5 1.12.0
  • go in "C:\Program Files\STKO" and copy "hdf5.dll", "zlib.dll" and "szip.dll" in the same folder where you have OpenSees.exe.
Let us know if it works now
