Hello, I am new to using STKO and I am learning how to use it. At the moment, I am only modeling a soil layer with its own weight, and it's just a static analysis. However, I am having trouble because the model is not converging. It is a very simple model. Could someone help me identify my error? It is urgent. Thank you very much!

After completing the first exercise, I would like to include the other soil layers.

Re: Convergence Issue in Simple Model in STKO - Urgent Help Needed
There are few errors:
- In a 2D analysis the local z axis should point towards the global Z axis. Your geometry is flipped (you can see this if you switch on the visualization of local axes). You can fix it using the reverse command.
- Pay attention to the time series: You used a linear ramp that at time = 1 gives a load multiplier = 1. But your analysis lasts 2.0e10 seconds! this means a 2.0e10 load multiplier!
- Finally, even fixing the above mentioned issues, you will see some errors coming from the material you are using. This is a nonlinear material and you have to be careful when defining the material parameters. Suggestion: start with a linear elastic material to check whether the above mentioned issues are solved, then you can move to nonlinear
