Hello,
At this example, I try to connect beam element with solid element using ASDEAEmbededNodeElement (see Lesson5_4_ASDEAEmbedeNodeElement.rar). But I warmed by an error (lesson5_ASDEAEmbedNodeElement_error.JPG). In fact, I imitate the modelling steps as in youtube video called "T7 Meshing the Geometrial Model and Partition".

Hello,
It is achieved to remove this error, However, although the assignment in the interaction section as "master selection" and "slave selection" is correct (see Lesson5_4_ASDEAEmbedeNodeElement_deneme1.rar), unfortunately, I received a warning error as "the beam assignment is wrongly done" (see Lesson5_4_ASDEAEmbedeNodeElement_deneme1_error.jpg).

Hi, embedded node element is not a proper choice in your case as the beam element is not inside the solid elements. So, try to use beamSolidCoupling condition.

Dear kesavapraba,
Thanks for your support,
My fault is the utilization of "brick" element for the condition "ASDEmbeddedNodeElement" instead of "tetrahedron". Although I correct this mis-used element property and related mesh processes, I get similar error again (see Lesson5_3_Corrected_ASDEAEmbedeNodeElement2_error.jpg). When I consider the generated elements and nodes, I noticed that STKO strives to generate the last element. Indeed, this last element has not be generated. I do not know whether this detection is true or not?

Hi, Actually, It doesn't matter whether the solid is meshed with hexa or tetra. BTW, Did you try with beamSolidCoupling?

Hello,
Yes, this model successfully run through the use of "beamSolidCoupling". In fact, the similar simulation approach has already been utilized in the use of "ASDEAEmbededNodeElement". Particularly, it is also demonstrated to be successfully run for "planar surfaces" using beam "forcebeamcolumn" and solid element "quadrelateral". Furthermore, its success is also proven for "three dimensional space" using element "shell". But, I can not make a proven for the three dimensional space using solid element “brick”.

You misunderstood the error.
It says that the master cannot be a line!
However the embedded element CANNOT be used in this example because you have an hole around the beam! Thus the beam does not lie on or inside the solid, so it cannot be embedded.
