problem with the tutorial

Post by joselito15 » Fri May 31, 2024 4:46 am

I have a problem with the second model of the tutorial "STKO E-Learning Course - Modeling a Reinforced Concrete Frame Structure (english webinar)", it gives me an error regarding the value of the concrete "Error: the fracture energy (Gf = 3) is too small or the characteristic length of the element (lch = 153.333) is too large.
The minimum Gf to avoid constitutive recoil is 0.0283"

The error is clear:
You are using a mesh that is too large for the fracture energy in compression (Gc = 3).
In the original example it was a 100 mm mesh size, you are using instead 153

Where can you change the mesh size?

In the Mesh tab. using either the global mesh seed, or the edge seed. Please see the user manual
