Post by Zeeshanbhat » Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:13 pm

Dear Team,
The material for last webinar on post processing has not been updated yet. It still contains the trail script of post processing drift plot.

Thank you. Can we use this for time history analysis also or we need to do some modification in script.

Of course you can, you don't need to do any changes. At each step, it will extract the current drift for all vertical elements, grouped by their X-Y coordinates.

Just remember that this script does 2 assumptions only:
  • You want to extract the drift for the last stage.
This is fine for both pushover and simple time history, where you have the first stage for gravity analysis, and the second stage for pushover or time history analysis. If instead, you make a more complex sequential dynamic analysis, you may want to extract data from multiple stages. It will be very easy to change the script to extract data from multiple stages.
  • You want to extract the drift only for vertical elements.
