Integrator and Analyze options

Dear Stko team,
What to choose in the duration under integrator and then what will be the analysis steps if I am applying maximum displacement of 67 mm in 1442 steps in 1442 seconds with an increment of 0.2 mm after 3 cycles i.e 3 seconds?

1. Is it right to choose the total time of the analysis in the duration or it would be equal to the 67/1442 = 0.046 or will be equal to the last factor inserted in the time series which is 67.

2. in the Analyze option for the fixed time step numIncr will be the number of analysis steps or increments in which the load will be applied which is 1442 in this case?

Dear Asad,
It is extreamly simple...

If you are doing a load control, it does not matter what is the displacement you applied (via a SP command). The only important thing is the timeSeries.
If the timeSeries goes from t = 0, to t = 1

then the duration should be 1

and the number of increments, depends on how non-linear you problem is... the more steps you use, the easier will be the convergence
