error in compiling input file (mesh)

I'm trying to model a simple beam with shellMIT4 element and elasticSectionMembrane. When I run the analysis I get this error:

I think that depends by the mesh but I don't know how to fix it. I've used structured-quad-linear mesh. thx

It says that you assigned the ShellMITC element property (4 nodes) to some edges (2 nodes).

do this:
- select all using the full geometry selection (not sub-selection)
- drag the ShellMITC4 onto the graphic windows, if you keep the CTRL button hold, you will see that the command will be the Unassign From instead of the Assign To.
- drop (now the shellMITC4 should be assigned to nothing)
- select the full geometry again, and drag-and-drop the ShellMITC4 property

Probably what you did, was to un-check the Full Geometry selection button, thus moving to sub-selection. In that scenario, if you select everything, you will assign the Shell property also to edges, not only to faces.
