Analysis with a single model

Post by loisjohnson » Fri May 26, 2023 5:39 pm

Hello, I need to conduct a static analysis with a variable load where I would need to perform multiple analyses with different loads (e.g., 10kN, 15kN) while maintaining the same load position. Is there a way to do this without creating separate models for each analysis? I attempted to use the LoadCost command and perform multiple analyses with the same model, but it appears that the load effects are being added at each analysis stage instead of being isolated to each specific analysis.

Hi loisjohnson,

Try to see this webinar about parametric analysis "OpenSees Parametric Analyses using the Python API in STKO's Preprocessor"

Let us know if it is what you wanted to do.
Best,
