Pushover curve error

Post by sribeiro » Wed Sep 20, 2023 8:25 am

Dear STKO Team,

I want to do a pushover analysis in this model in annex, but when I run it, the analysis is not smooth and also some errors appear on the exe. window (also in annex).
Do you know what can be wrong?

Many thanks!

Use a penalty in the pushover analysis as you did in the gravity.
You have equalDOFs and RigidLink overlapping on some nodes and this cannot be handled by the transformation method (constraint handler)

Dear STKO team,

Thank you for the advice, it actual worked for the nodal load on xx.

However, when I try to apply a transversal load (on yy) I can't get a curve at all. I would also like to try a distributed load to represent better the acceleration from the seismic action, but doesn't work either.
I've been looking through all your youtube videos and couldn't fine why it might be happening.

Do you have any suggestion of what could I do to fix the analysis?

it's because you're still monitoring the X direction
