Re: Viscous link modeling

The 2-node-link material allows you to input more than 1 uniaxial material... In fact, you can input 1 uniaxial material for each DOF.

Re: Issue with using PDMY model

Dear Youngkyu, I made a small mistake in the script I attached in the previous post: In the TCL script, where I defined "rho", "Cp" and "Cs", I actually should have input "rho", "Vp" and "Vs"... because later on I multiply "Cp" and "Cs" by "rho"... while they already have "rho" inside... param.png f...

Re: OOP Micromodeling of Masonry Wall

That was done with a very old version of STKO and the custom script for plotting the graph and doing the incrementation was not working with how the DisplacementControl has been changed in the latest version. Here is how it can be done now. You have adaptive time step directly in the Analsyis comman...

In your case, you need to add some cuts to your geometry to make sure it can be ...

Re: Error "could not invert flexibility"

Hi Larisa, When the ForceBeamColumn element gives that error, it means that it cannot invert the Section tangent. This can happen when you have perfectly plastic materials (with a zero tangent all at the same time, very unlikely), or, if it happens from the very beginning (like in your case) it mean...

Re: I have a question about the 5th week class contents of 'get started webinar'.

Dear gookki, I am not really sure I understand how you came across that error. Could you check if the directory you are using are not named with any special characters or similar. As for the script, you are referring to, thank you for noticing, there was a mistake in the way I called some of the att...
