Hello everyone!
I modelled a speciment of infill masonry wall in STKO. For the materials I use ASDConcrete3D and DamageTC3D, using IMPL-EX for integration type. On this speciment I want to apply two types of analysis:
1. An out of plane analysis only (without pre-damage the speciment)
2. An in ...

convergence problem with cyclic analysis
Hello everyone!
I modelled a speciment of infill masonry wall in STKO. On this I want to apply a cyclic analysis (with two cycles actually). So, I built the model with a specific interaction that can simulate the applied load (you can see this in attached .sdc file). Regarding the material, I used ...

Hello everyone!
I modelled a speciment of infill masonry wall in STKO with in which brick and mortar are homogenized in a single "Layered shell". On this model I want to do a pushover analysis using "Parallel displacement control". I used "ASDConcrete3D" for both frame and homogenized masonry ...

convergence problem with out of plane load
Hello everyone!
I modelled a speciment of infill masonry wall in STKO. A horizontal load is applied on the speciment, acting out of the plane. In particular, mentioned load is a distributed load on steel plates of 200x200mm that push the masonry.
To simulate this, I created some "face" to which I ...

Hello everyone!
I modelled an infill masonry wall in 3d because I want to study the out-of-plane behavior. In particular, I used 2d elements in xz plane. I set a pushover analysis with displacement control to understand the in-plane behavior before. However, the computational cost in term of time ...

Re: Pushover analysis (no softening)
Thank you for the answer!
Yes, I forgot to assign the local axes. I'm sorry.
However, now the horizontal analysis is not yet completed, rather it stops immediately already in elastic phase. In particular, a "warning" (related to ForceBeamColumn3D) is reported and analysis stops about to 3 ...

Pushover analysis (no softening)
Hello everyone!
I'm using STKO to study the behavior of an infill mansonry walls. In addiction to vertical analysis, I want to do pushover analysis using "parallel displacement control". The analysis starts but it stops at about 80%. In particular, it seems that the analysis cannot compute the ...

Re: parallel displacement control (infill masonry wall)
Thank you very much for accuracy and completeness of the answer!
I'm sorry for the mistakes, but I started recently to use STKO. I understood it and now the analysis begins.
Thank you also for the suggestion to use distributed Edge Force. It is better, right!
