Acceleration records
Hi, I am confused what to look at for output for the shell deformation in my walls. I want to be able to look at the correct drift of the walls. I am not sure about the unit consistency in the acceleration records. Could you please check to see that the accln is in mm/s^2 range; also, is (section. f...

Re: Physical separation of properties
Hi,
I figured out my previous question by not assigning "homogenized 3d" any element property. I am running into this now :
I am thinking I got some parameters incorrect or some other errors.

Re: Physical separation of properties
Hi, Thanks and I tried applying everything you said to my model. I have created a dummy element with E=0 and the members seem to be physically separated. But when meshing the homogenized 3d using face meshing with structured quad topology, there were three node meshing at some points too. It'd be of...

Hi, I have built a 4 noded quad structure for the gable walls to help create a uniform mesh for 4-noded shell. The mesh is getting interfered by the nodes of the micro-model (shown in screenshot below). How do I create an interaction between the wall, wood frame and the cgi roof and still keep them ...
Debugging
For the model : masonry 6.rar I am facing this error after running the analysis: error.png i The modifications I did from my previous drawing was: 1) Corrected all the mesh nodes to form quadrilateral topology. 2) Assigned a shell element for the gable part of the roof. 3) Also, I created a quad mes...

I am facing this warning while trying to execute the analysis of my stone masonry model: warning.png I have created interaction between the walls and applied translation constraints. Also, I have inserted interaction between the timber base and wall at roof level (although, not sure about this). The...

solver kit error
Hi, I recently bought a one year version of the STKO. I downloaded it in C drive. When I take a sample file "column uniform excitation" I found somewhere in the forum to run the analysis, I come across an error: "You must select a solver kit to run the analysis". The Opensees, Openseessp, and Opense...
