Re: Tetrahedron mesh issues

I had to regenerate the geometry. It seems that the quadratic mesh does not work with a periodic surface. I simply added 2 lines on the opposite side of the solid

Re: Resolving Recorder Issues in Multi-Processor Time History Analysis

viewtopic.php?f=45&t=2937 I answered there. I am open to your ideas or suggestions for this case, Another solution is not to use OpenSeesMP at all. You can use a python script to spawn processes (sequential opensees), 8 at a time. In this way, since as discussed in the other post some analyses will...

Re: Processor Takes too long to Terminate !

Sorry you misunderstood what i meant. I was referring to the duration of the ground motion (not the duration of the solution of the analysis): If these processors take 1 hour to run about 10 seconds of analyses, Override duration @0 : 9.41 Override duration @1 : 7.92 Override duration @6 : 6.57 Over...

Re: Reload the Work Tree items

Once you modify the Xobject and set it to the AnalsyisStep (or any other object, like Physical Property, Conditions, etc..), call the commitXObjectChanges method: anly.XObject = xobj anly.commitXObjectChanges() It performs some operation in the background, as hiding/showing some attributes based on ...

Re: Python File Modification for Units (mm, kN)

To adapt the script for a different unit system just change the values you have in the User Input session of the script: # ================================================================= # User Input # ================================================================= # The size of the 3D sample ma...

Concrete 30 mm This is fine, but the central part of concrete (136 mm) should be discretized with more layers, otherwise a single f...

Re: single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) model

Check material.stress vs material.strain in the post processor using the gauss plot. In this case you can see each material response.
Not that I had to increase the ground motion a lot to see these results:

Re: diagonal test masonry

You can do that by replacing the equalDOF (on the interaction between the wall and the strengthening layer) with a zeroLength element. This zeroLength will have nonlinear materials (stress vs displacement) according to the bond properties. Then in the zeroLength element you can specify the "distribu...

Re: Processor Takes too long to Terminate !

The problem is that those other processor are not finished yet. You are not seeing the text on the command line just because it is written only for the process 0, But as you can see from this message: Override duration @0 : 9.41 Override duration @1 : 7.92 Override duration @6 : 6.57 Override durati...

Re: Resolving Recorder Issues in Multi-Processor Time History Analysis

There is a way to do this. The idea is to pack your whole analysis instead a for loop, and the loop index will be used to parameterized the ground motion. However, there is an issue with using OpenSeesMP. You said you want to partition your model, but at the same time you want to use plain opensees ...
