ASDEA SOFTWARE GOES TO OPENSEES DAYS EURASIA 2019

Asdea Software will fly to Hong Kong

After participating the First European Conference on Opensees in Porto, Portugal in June 2017 Asdea Software is very proud to participate to the first Eurasian Conference on Opensees, 20-21 June, 2019 hosted by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in Hong Kong.

The Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (OpenSEES) is an open-source software framework for simulating the seismic response of structural and geotechnical systems. It has been developed as the computational platform for research in performance-based earthquake engineering at the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center. OpenSEES has advanced capabilities for modeling and analyzing the nonlinear response of systems using a wide range of material models, elements, and solution algorithms. (for more info visit OpenSees website)

This conference intends to give a brief overview on the latest developments made on the OpenSEES framework as well as to present some research and practical outcomes in which this software plays an important role. Certainly Asdea Software cannot miss the appointment. The team will be there and bring a lot of news, starting from the Official Beta Version of STKO.

Scientific ToolKit for Opensees (STKO) is a powerful pre and post processor and cutting-edge data visualization tool for Opensees. By using STKO a user can create a Tool Command Language (TCL) input file for Opensees and an output file readable by its graphic interface. The user can customize and manipulate with a Python-based scripting interface the model input and output to create customized engineering demand parameters and output data.

The event will be full of workshops and discussion organized by Eurasian OpenSEES (EOS), a trans-continental non-profit association of engineers and academics who encourage and promote the principles of structural engineering according to the theories and techniques developed within the framework of international scientific research.
